GWG Bowen

This genealogical record was started by GWG Bowen, from the stories told to him from his grandfather Moses Bowen. GWG was seven when grandfather Moses died and his father removed the family out west, down the new Erie Canal, to the newly formed Town of Mansfield in the Cattaraugus County, New York.

John Bowen is of English decent, going back for 190 years, was born about 1719, his wife's name was Tufts.

This record made from a former record made by me in 1859 the early statements given me by my father my father at that time. And such other statements vouched for as true by myself up to date. May 28, 1904.

It is my request that this record maybe kept and continued from time to time by my son John or some other person. Aug. 16, 1908.
